Zinc Release Brand New Electric Bike Range

5th August 2014

Zinc ReAction is Zinc’s brand new innovative Electric bike, allowing children to ride a bike without the need to pedal. Based on the success on how well our Zinc Volt electric scooters sell in the markets we have extended this to our bicycle range.

The new Zinc electric bike range consists of a number of popular frame types powered by our patented Eride system. Eride is a system powered by light weight lithium batteries which is not only powerful but also environmentally friendly.

Due to the light weight nature of the Eride system; E bikes within the range can be used as traditional pedal bikes when the system has been switched off.

The fact that the bike can be used as an electric product or a traditional bicycle is really important to us. If you are a couple of miles from your destination or half way up a trail we wanted customers to know whether they eride or pedal they can always enjoy their riding experience with their friends and family.

Simon Pickavance Hy-Pro’s commercial Director added “So many people now cycle together as families recreationally, having an electric bike will allow younger members of the family to enjoy longer and more challenging rides with the family’s”

E bikes have become very popular in the adult market across the spectrum of cycling from commuting to mountain biking. The Zinc ReAction now allows teenagers to get involved in this growing market, and experience the best of the smooth and efficient E Bike.

The first bike to launch this Autumn will be a 20inch freestyle frame. ‘We understand the value of design and of course the need for teenagers to have great styling the freestyle models offer this and we think will be one of the most popular frame types’

Zinc ReAction is the first of a range of six bikes scheduled for launch over the next few weeks. ‘Along with all the great reasons to own a Zinc ReAction bike the most important one is it great fun to ride‘
